Can you guess who is celebrating her birthday today? I will give you two clues. First, she is a petite powerhouse. And, second, she has a hat for every occasion. If you guessed, Judge Mary Terrell, you are correct. Judge Terrell founded the High Tea Society (HTS) in 1997 to provide educational and cultural enrichment activities for girls who attend the District of Columbia Public Schools. Twenty seven years later, HTS continues to deliver impactful programs for girls. To that end, in May 2024, we received a grant from Events DC to launch a BigSis digital ethics programs for girls. And, our second season of the Ask Your AunTea podcast will begin airing in June. You can listen weekdays at 5 p.m. ET on WHUR 96.3 HD4 and DCradio.gov. You can also listen 24/7 on Spotify and SoundCloud. Please show your love for Judge Terrell by supporting the High Tea Society summer popcorn fundraiser. When you make your donation, you can leave a note for Judge Terrell to see. All proceeds will be used to support our digital programs. The fundraiser lasts four days. It begins June 20 and ends June 24. Thank you for your support. Mariessa Terrell, Esq. The High Tea Society is a DC based 501c3 not for profit organization.
